Social Responsibility
Reaching further afield, Amka oversees a skills development and training initiative in the hair care and personal care.
Amka is committed to making a difference to the lives of South Africans through its social responsibility programmes. Over the past 15 years, more than 5 000 people from disadvantaged communities have passed through the Sofn’free Hair Care Academy in Johannesburg.
The comprehensive training they have received has enabled them to become self-sufficient. Amka also earned accreditation from the Chemical Industries Education and Training Authority (Chieta) during 2004 and immediately embarked on a Learnership programme with 414 participants.
